Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced plans to open a fully functional KRA Office in Eastleigh by September 2025, aimed at enhancing tax services, supporting businesses and improving voluntary compliance.
The announcement was made during a strategic engagement between the KRA Board, led by Chairman Hon. Ndiritu Muriithi and the Eastleigh Business District Association (EBDA).
The new KRA Office is expected to make tax services more accessible, simplify compliance processes and strengthen partnerships with the vibrant Eastleigh business community.
KRA emphasized that taxpayer convenience and business growth are at the center of this expansion. Hon. Muriithi noted that taxes fuel the state and KRA is committed to making compliance easier while fostering respectful engagement with traders.
The Eastleigh Business District Association (EBDA), represented by CEO Mr. Mohamed Mero, welcomed the move, pledging continuous collaboration through tax education forums, policy advocacy and structured dialogue.
Also in attendance was Mandera County Deputy Governor, Hon. Dr. Ali Maalim Mohamud, who called for more reforms to create a favorable business environment.
This initiative is part of KRA’s service expansion strategy, which has already seen new offices opened in Maua, Wote, Chuka, Eldama Ravine, Iten, Kapenguria, Lodwar, Malaba, Homabay, Migori, Siaya, Kakuma, Kainuk and Tana River.
With the upcoming Eastleigh office, KRA reaffirms its commitment to bringing services closer to the people, improving trade facilitation, and supporting Kenya’s economic growth.
